Meet the Resident Critters of Catlandu

  • Nala the Queen

Calm and wise, gentle and smart, Nala is the largest of the doggies here at Catlandu. Having been rescued from a horrible hoarding situation she has come a long way. Now a happy, trusting brave girl, Nala is the best companion we could hope for. Only three years old we will share a long and loving life together here at Catlandu. She has become the guardian at the gate.

  • Maggie Mae the Magnificent

With our partners Action 4 Animals Hawaii Maggie came to Catlandu over two years ago. Originally given only three months to live she arrived here tired, sick and defeated carrying a 1 ½ pound cancerous tumor. With much love, care and a couple of operations Maggie has rallied into one bright, happy joyous girl. A true testiment to the power of love, she is still going strong, enjoying her life and family here. She truly is Magnificent.

  • Bob the Builder

Bob enjoys riding on the hood of cars, tractors or the lawn mower. A hammer only brings curiosity as he is ever ready for a new project here. A beautiful boy Bob is always ready for pets and the next adventure.

  • Fizz el Sticks

With his big fat belly Fizz is always ready for his special treats. Head butts are a daily specialty and purrs will keep us awake. Fizz is a true lover boy.

  • Black Jack

Jack is curious, handsome and full of purrs. Always ready for lovies he waits by the stairs to steel a pet or two. He loves to sleep next to me and provides much warmth on our cool winter nights.

  • Cinnamon Girl

Cinnamon Girl is a delicate, sweet, fragile elder who arrived from a desperate situation in which she was not thriving. She has flourished here in the serene, peaceful home she now rules with quiet poise. Her purrs and her demeanor offer those who enter her domain the same peace she so needed.

  • Oreo Cookie Dough

This beautiful tuxedo arrived as a tiny baby come wild out of the forest. He boldly made his way into the living room and announced he now lives here. Oreo has grown into a tall, beautiful, loving boy who can’t get enough of belly rubs. He likes to drool all over me.

  • P Dot Tatter Tot

She always looks mad but actually P Dot is a wild, sweet, free spirited girl who loves the run in the forests and chase geckos. Lounging around the grounds she is illusive and looks like she’ll beat you up if you look at her wrong.

  • Zora Bean Panther Queen

Born on this land in 2012 Zora came to me as a tiny baby, climbed onto my lap and bit my nose. She has continued to do that to this day. Always purring she is one of the easiest cats to love. Never demanding always ready for her breakfast she awaits the day with great joy and ease.

  • Mini Tonka

This wild baby showed up one day hungry and scared. He bravely made his presence known and has carved out his home in the forest here. Rarely seen he comes for food but doesn’t let anyone near him except Oreo. They can be seen romping together happily chasing each other in the yard. Maybe someday I’ll be able to catch a decent picture of him…

  • Violet

Violet (4 yrs) and her brother Charlie are a bonded pair. She makes daily biscuits, prefers drinking water from a tap, and is only temporarily shy around strangers. She’s a sweetheart who loves attention, and playing fetch.

  • Charlie

Charlie (4 yrs) and his littermates were rescued out of a hoarding situation. His eyes were so badly infected they had to be removed when he was just 2 months old. He’s now my super friendly, constantly curious Jedi Master, proving being blind is no impediment to living his best life.

  • Fluffernutter

Fluffernutter (18 yrs) was adopted into my home as a 14 year old senior cat who needed hospice care. Four years later, he still refuses to acknowledge that he was expected to die soon. He has no teeth but lots of attitude. Keep going, Fluff!!!

  • Pretty Boy Floyd

When we picked up Floyd and Petunia at about four weeks old they were full of fleas, ringworms and malnourishment. After hand feeding, daily baths and lots of loving attention they are now both thriving balls of shear curiosity and fun. Of course they have staked their place at Catlandu from here on out.

  • Petunia Blossom

Sister of Floyd. These two are just the best medicine. Kittens bring more joy and mischief than the rest of the bunch here. Petunia (aka: Tuni) loves to romp in the forest and bathe in the sunshine… while stalking her brother. They are either eating, running or sleeping and always purring!

  • The Ferals in the Forest

These feral ones stop by occasionally for food and rest. They are making the rounds in the neighborhood…free from a home of their own they still find a safe haven here at Catlandu. Food and love are always available to those in need. No questions asked.
