Meet the Alumni of Catlandu

  • Noodles

    Update:

Noodles has a very happy ending! After spending over eight months in our care this dear boy was flown off island (in partnership with Action 4 Animals Hawaii) to a wonderful rescue organization in Washington state. Upon arrival a family who were familiar with deaf dogs adopted this sweet boy. He has not stopped smiling and playing since then.

    The History:

Noodles arrived at Catlandu as a wild foster puppy. He is deaf so his world was a big confusing mystery. He was supposed to just ‘spend the weekend’ to rest from his stressful environment but remained for over eight months. Through the patience of Taylor’s care Noodles has become a loving addition here at Catlandu. Maggie fell in love with him and they spend their days in non-stop play. Running miles this dog never tires! He has learned to come when he gets a beep of his collar and he knows how to sit and bat his beautiful eyes for pets and treats. He is a good boy full of love. Noodles would love a forever home with tender loving people and lots of room to run like the wind. He would remain here if he didn’t like to chase all the cats!

  • Xena Warrior Princess

Xena was our first three week old kitten to arrive at Catlandu this past September. She had been abandoned in the forest but found her way to a door of a kind woman. Unfortunately she was unable to provide the full time care that one so young requires. So we jumped in to try our hand at twenty four hour care and feeding. Goodness gracious it’s a lot of work! Bottle feeding every two to three house throughout the day and night proved to be just what this darling needed. Xena began to thrive. Her spirit shown strong as she grew into a happy delight.

When she was old enough for her own family we managed to find just the right fit for her future. With tears in my eyes but joy in my heart we said our aloha to Xena.

Her update is she is enjoying ruling over one dog and an old cat. She is providing the just the right amount of mischief to make for a happy home.

  • Kiko

Driving home on day I found this poor, hungry girl scrounging by the side of the road. Naturally I couldn’t leave her there to fend for herself. After bringing her home we created a makeshift pen and proceeded to fatten her up. Kiko was so weak she couldn’t stand for the first few days but day by day she flourished. With the help of our community of caring souls she was adopted by a wonderful man who is now giving her all the love, care and adventures any doggie could ask for. It does indeed take a village.
